Which water meters work with Service Point

Service Point reads a meter in one of three ways. Find your meter below and the table tells you which model you need. In every case the meter itself is untouched and its metrological approval is unaffected.

The three mechanisms

ModelMechanismHow it reads
SP-27InductiveOur own sensor reads the modulation pointer directly off the register. No pulse module needed and nothing is fitted inside the meter.
SP-25HallMagnetic readout, for meters built for it.
SP-26Pulse inputDry contact from the meter’s own pulse output.
Inductive — SP-27

Wehrle MODULARIS

The entire MODULARIS family. The MODULARIS register is designed for inductive or optical scanning of the modulation pointer with rotation-direction detection — which is exactly what SP-27 is built to read.

ETK denotes cold water, ETW warm. An asterisk marks a variable position in the manufacturer’s code. MTK-HWX and RTK-HCX are confirmed in service.

Enevita

Enevita meters use the Wehrle register and carry the ETK-EAX designation on the dial. SP-27 reads them the same way.

Everything else

Other manufacturers

Sensus, Itron and Madalena work with SP-27 through the inductive sensor, or with SP-26 through the meter’s own pulse output — whichever suits the installation.

What does not work

Diehl

Our inductive sensor does not work with Diehl meters

Diehl is supported through SP-26 using the manufacturer’s own pulse counter. If you are standardised on Diehl and were hoping to avoid fitting pulse modules, this is the one case where you cannot.
