Communication interfaces and protocols

  • 1-WIRE - widely used communication interface for simple 1-way communication like sensor data
  • RS485 - industrial bus communication protocol that enables multipoint to multipoint communication with very long distances over two wires
  • RS232 - standard point-to-point communication protocol to send/receive data on short distances over three wires
  • CAN - standard bus communication protocol used in every vehicle - from cars and agricultural equipment to e-bikes. Provide multipoint to multipoint communication on short distances over two wires.
  • I2C - 2 wire communication protocol to exchange data between sensor and host.

Sky view satellite positioning system can provide down to 1-meter accuracy (for L1+L5 cases) and 3-5 metes accuracy for all the others. Widely used for positioning and tracking outdoors.
